The Future of the Graphic Novel, Pages Festival + Conference

Writer/director, Ramona Pringle will be part of a panel on ‘The Future of the Graphic Novel’, during the 2014 Pages Festival + Conference. Theme for the three day event is UNBOUND: Exploring the Evolving Word. Conference events are held at the Tranzac Club, Toronto.

‘The Future of the Graphic Novel’ looks at a rare growth sector in the paper book world — the graphic novel. Panel moderator is Jeet Heer, cultural historian and journalist, specializing in comics, Canadian literature, and American foreign policy.

Panelists include:
* John Martz — cartoonist and illustrator, author of Destination X (Nobrow Press, 2013) and the upcoming collection of kids comics A Cat Named Tim and Other Stories (Koyama Press, 2014)
* Ethan Rilly — cartoonist and illustrator, creator of Pope Hats; his comics have appeared in The Walrus, Maisonneuve, Taddle Creek, Canadian Notes & Queries, Carousel and Nobrow 7

‘The Future of the Graphic Novel’ takes place this Friday, March 14th at 3:30 pm.
